Fanal intermediate run

We begin this track by the path of Tranquada, heading up in the path of Castanheiros, which will lead us to Fanal.

Along the climb we'll observe a change in vegetation, starting entering the Laurissilva Forest, where you'll be able to see some of the local endemic plants.

Right at the top, next to Fanal's lagoon, we'll follow the Levada dos Cedros, covering its 6 km from it’s source, til Curral Falso.

At this point, we contour the hills of the right margin of Ribeira da Janela. At Curral Falso, we begin the descent to the Ribeira da Janela, in a path almost entirely made of wooden steps.
