We did two Walking Tours in Budapest today. Both were really amazing!! Edith, our guide for the City Highlights Walking Tour was so knowledgeable and passionate about her city. She was friendly and professional and able to answer any and all questions. Judit, our guide for the Jewish Quarter Tour, was equally as good. Her tour was informative, enlightening and heartbreaking, all at the same time. We would highly recommend these Tour Guides and Tours!

My wife and I did the Old Budapest walking tour with Judith in April. It was amazing! Judith was warm and knowledgeable. She walked us through the history, geography and fun facts of Budapest. It was extremely comprehensive and we can’t recommend this gem of a tour enough!

Balázs started our tour around Buda Castle with a crash course in Hungarian history, which was incredibly detailed yet funny and completely accessible. This set the tone for the entire tour that followed. All participants were visibly captivated and attentive; at every point, it was clear that we were in the hands of a highly professional, knowledgeable, and simply likable guide. We would wholeheartedly recommend joining the Free Walking Tour with Balázs to anyone. We enjoyed our Tour through Jewish Quarter with Dora as well! We didn’t know what to expect, but Dora welcomed us warmly and immediately won us over with her cheerful demeanor. From her very first explanations, it was clear that she was capable of conveying the maximum amount of information in the shortest time and in the most charming way. The tour took us 1 hour and 40 minutes through the Jewish Quarter, and the entire time it felt like we were in the company of a highly educated, approachable, and warm-hearted person. We are very grateful to Dora for the access she gave us to the city and its rich history! Don’t hesitate—immerse yourself in this experience!

It’s fair to say a walking tour without a good guide is about as useless as a snooze alarm on a smoke detector. We were fortunate to have a terrific guide in Esther on a magical morning with snowflakes falling. She was informative, engaging and brought a youthful exuberance to the group. Kudos on a very worthwhile tour experience.

I attended different tours (general, jewish district, communist) organized by this company +/- 15 times between 2013 and 2018, and they were all amazing, solid 5/5. Unfortunately after that period I attended it twice again, and the quality dropped SO MUCH. Once I left the tour quite early, the second time I spend it's whole duration thinking about it, but never deciding to do it. Last attempt was in October 2024. I don't think I'll try again. 3/5 only because they were so amazing for so long. Response to owners: My opinion is genuine and not trying to misrepresent anything. First tour I took was I believe in 2013 with Zoltan, who was absolutely amazing (I even have some pictures with him in a frame). Then I took multiple more tours, so I know the aspects of Budapest's history that your tour guides talk about very well, and I was able to compare how engaging different guides are. I even took communist tour, which taught me nothing since I come from post-communist country myself, but the tour guide was so amazing that it was still a blast to attend it. Your response is attacking and simply disrespectful to somebody who was such a fan of your tours.... Also, maybe you cannot find my name because you search the wrong one? I am not planning to send you any e-mail, especially after such response, and accusations of misrepresentation, because I don't want to get anything from you. I simply want to share the experience created by your tour guides this and last time, and I don't think the result will be any different that way.

I had an amazing day exploring Budapest with the Free Walking Tour! In the morning, I joined Gary for a fun and engaging tour around the Pest side. He shared fascinating insights into the city’s history, along with tips on local food and places to visit — I couldn’t have asked for a better start to my day. In the afternoon, I toured the Buda Castle side with Dora, who was an absolute joy! As a local Hungarian, she brought a personal touch to the tour, making the experience both fun and educational. Starting from Batthyány tér, we walked through picturesque streets, and Dora’s lively commentary made the rich history of the Buda Castle area come to life. Her enthusiasm and humor made it clear that she loves sharing her city with visitors. Both tours were fantastic and gave me a well-rounded view of Budapest’s beauty and culture.
