I joined the tour yesterday, and while our guide was very friendly and funny, I found the content quite superficial and not very in-depth. I’ve done several free walking tours across Europe, and this was the first one that followed a pattern like this: * 5–10 minutes walking to the next location * a few minutes of explanation * then a 5-minute photo break that felt more like an Instagram tour than a real historical or cultural tour * followed by an announcement of the next stop This cycle repeated throughout the tour. Out of the 1h30–1h45 duration, it honestly felt like around 30 minutes were spent on photo breaks. If you’re genuinely interested in learning about the city and its history, I probably wouldn’t recommend this tour. EDIT: Since the company outed the name of guide, we are all welcome to have our own opinions. Its very much in bad taste to say "well other people loved it so you must be wrong". There's a similar review several months ago with same guide who had the exact same impression as me. Our guide for the morning Pest tour on May 6th (I don't want to name her) had a lot of great anecdotes especially being a local but the way the tour was led was jarring. She didn't interact with the group much just walked ahead, stopped at points to quickly say something then for photos and walked away waiting for us. It was not a good orientation of the Pest side and honestly the worst walking tour I've taken out of dozens. People don't want to just be walked to "insta" sites to take photos they want an authentic intro to a city. Three stars because genuinely the anecdotes and information the guide gave were great but there just weren't enough of them and overall it was a cold tour despite her humor. Plus she was plugging some random retro museum that definitely gives kickbacks. I wish I had gone with a different company.
