We really enjoyed doing the Saigon tour with Spring (grandma noodles, little history, fruits & coffee) , it was one of the highlights for our visit to Vietnam, we highly recommend booking! Thank you Spring for showing us Saigon with this very thoughtful tour. We found it a lovely way to see the city, starting early & seeing the hustle & bustle of the city slowly building. Spring was a great guide with warmth & kindness gave us insight into life in Saigon, taking us places we wouldn’t have found ourselves telling us about the history of the places as went along. We loved that for us, the tour really felt like a friend showing us around where they live by taking us to their hidden spots (some are not on Google maps!). We are vegetarian so Spring took us to a delicious noodle spot serving only vegetarian noodle soups (for us, one of the tastiest we had in Vietnam). Appreciate that she also asked if we were we okay to go see the wet market along our route through the market (raw meat & fish for those unfamiliar). She also took us to try some new tasty fruits & snacks along with a good strong Vietnamese coffee to finish the tour! She also bought us bottles of water whenever we needed. After the tour Spring sent us a great list of different places on Google maps she recommended (food spots, cafes, spas,shops) we tried out a good few and they were great recommendations! Also would like to say that Spring very kindly accommodated us last minute to reschedule to another day when I was sick on the morning we originally had booked for.

Great, insightful and fun

The tour with Hieu was one of the highlights of the trip, he had great insight into the city and was able to take us to places we would not have discovered ourselves . I would highly recommend just him as a tour guide as it's such a relaxed experience .

Early tour

It's an early tour, and at first I was a bit skeptical because we had a late evening. Spring and Hieu were very friendly and knowledgeable. Noodles and dumplings to fruit tasting and fried banana fritters were interspersed with lessons about the rich history of Vietnam. I liked the tour, the food, and the guides, and will definitely go try the other tours these two offer.

A wonderful early morning tour with a difference

A wonderful early walking tour - plenty of food in authentic locations - fruit tasting - walking through the wet market - some very interesting history locations. Grandma’s kitchen was an incredible highlight. Super-friendly and helpful guide. Even gave me very useful tips for other things to do on my own in Saigon. I recommend this tour!

Great vegan walking tour!

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip! I got to try a large variety of vegan foods, many of which were new to me and I would not have tried if it wasn’t for the tour. The food was great, and Spring was kind, friendly and great to chat to! If you are vegan or vegetarian, I 100% recommend this tour!!

Best tour in HCM!

This tour was hands down my favourite tour out of everything we did in Vietnam. It was incredibly authentic and refreshingly unique. I never imagined I’d enjoy seeing everyday Vietnamese life this much, but I absolutely did. Our host, Hieu, set the tone right from the start. He patiently waited for us at the meeting point even though we were a little late, a perfect reflection of how chill and unhurried Vietnamese people are. What an amazing group of people. Our first stop was a tiny neighbourhood eatery hidden in a secret alley. The noodles were so delicious. This was also where we really connected with Hieu and the rest of the group. The conversations flowed nonstop, and by the end of the tour, we genuinely felt like friends. Hieu is extremely knowledgeable, answered all our questions with ease, and his humour was top-tier, lots of laughs throughout the day. We walked through neighbourhoods to see how locals live day to day, which was eye-opening and unforgettable. So great!

Essential!

Spring is a warm and knowledgeable local guide. She has a style of guidance that is fun yet relaxed. She is also considerate of your personal preferences and tailors the adventure to your needs. Would highly recommend this experience!

Highlight of our trip!

Everything about our tour was fantastic- we loved it! Spring was a great communicator before the tour, it was easy to locate, and she was very engaging, taught us so much about the food and the city, and everything was very tasty! We had a lot of fun chatting with her, and the pacing and amount of food was perfect. We visited many street vendors and family-run restaurants. This experience was the highlight of our trip. La experiencia fue agradable e interesante. Spring y Hieu nos llevan a espacios y lugares inusuales en un recorrido. Los lugares para comer fueron muy importantes y buenos. Creo que es muy apropiado que sean lugares de comida tradicional y local. El recorrido y las explicaciones me parecieron profesionales. Estuvieron atentos a nuestras restricciones alimentarias. A 5 star experience!

We had so much fun on this experience in the summer of 2023! The food is amazing but the real highlight is that you are able to eat in places and see locations you otherwise would never find on your own. Each stop is better than the last ranging from a sit down style restaurant to street food. Hieu is a great person and we really enjoyed our lively conversation and shared many laughs. The pacing is good and it doesn’t feel like you’re rushed or staying too long at any one stop. We originally scheduled a morning tour but switched to the evening tour and were very glad we did. The city is more lively, more food options, and much cooler than day time. We would love to book another food tour with Hieu in the near future. A 5 star experience!

More than your average walking tour

Incredible tour with an amazing host! Hieu was a knowledgeable, friendly and thoughtful guide, the food was universally delicious, and we got to visit parts of Saigon we never would have seen without this tour. Hieu even took the time to help me buy a power adaptor during the tour because I hadn’t been able to locate one (thanks Hieu!)

A must do veg*n foodie experience.

What an awesome foodie experience this tour is! Spring had us weave our way through a maze of backstreets and along vibrant mainstreets, through two districts sharing with us hidden little gems and streetside food stalls. As a tourist these are venues that only locals and seasoned visitors would know. At times we were the only foreigners among groups of friendly locals, so we really got to experience Vietnamese culture and local vegan-friendly cuisine. Spring was a friendly and welcoming tour guide, both approachable and knowledgeable. I'd definitely recommend this foodie tour to anyone, whether you're vegan , a vegetarian, whether you're plantbased or you're not.

Fun discovering new food

We had a great time on the food tour with Spring. She showed us a variety of food options and gave us great tips on how to find good food in Saigon. Her vegan food guide is also super helpful for the other cities we plan to hit in Vietnam!

Very interesting flâneur walk

I took this experience to be able to have a flaneur walk and eat safely vegetarian food, and was super satisfied. Spring is very nice and patient, all kind of surprises come during the walk and we can learn more about how Saigon locals live. I would recommend this to anyone who wants discover the city with delicious food and a super cheerful and smart host !!

Special and authentic vegan tour

This was a fabulous way to start my trip in Vietnam, December 2022. Spring was adorable and took care of my specific needs -sugar free food, which is great challenge in Vietnamese foods. She is absolutely adorable and every single spot was worth it! All locations and dishes were great. Very special and authentic too as it did not feel touristy. I totally recommend this innovative tour!

Highlight of my trip!

An amazing and unforgettable experience! Highly recommended for vegans, vegetarians and anyone who is interested in vietnamese cuisine and culture. Spring is an expert on local food and history and will generously share her wealth of knowledge with you on this tour and via her own food guide she's compiled for her guests. She introduced us to lesser known but local dishes and haunts. All the food we tried was delicious and her guide was very helpful in finding really great vegan food outside of the tour. She is very proficient in English and is able to explain things in detail and there was never a lull in the conversation. The tour was worth every penny and I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family!
