Reviews for Ophorus

A very interesting and inspiring trip. We learned a lot about wine growing, tradition and the way of drinking wine. Guide Rodolphe is very interesting and versatile. On the way back we had fun guessing the scents of the wine. Highly recommended for Rufolf and exciting adventure and enjoyment

An excellent experience with an excellent guide.

The choice of places to spend time, the expertise and dry humor of John, our guide, and the weather were all fabulous.

Excellent experience

This tour exceeded my expectations. Maarten is passionate about history and provided excellent commentary throughout the afternoon. His ability to explain historic events through storytelling is unrivaled. We saw three jaw-dropping villages (the river was unnavigable due to high water). I highly recommend Maarten and this tour.

Product: Dordogne Villages Half Day Tour from Sarlat

Highly recommend

Maarten was an excellent guide. Although I had been in Sarlat for a few days prior, his narration of the locations and events of the town was much more than I’d learned through reading and exploring on my own. The tastings exceeded my expectations. After this tour, I had a much greater understanding of Sarlat history and culture.

My wife and I made a last-minute booking for this half day tour and were very pleased with what we experienced. Our guide/driver was Amelie. During the drive and the two tasting sessions, Amelie was able to describe and explain the Alsace wine industry, its history and culture extremely well. Her knowledge of the entire process of growing and harvesting grapes as well as making wine came from her own life experiences. She communicated well, was able to respond to detailed questions, and left the whole group of visitors much better informed about Alsace wines. Pick up and drop off went smoothly. An excellent half day tour. Many thanks Amelie!

What a brilliant tour! We booked the half day wine tour from Colmar, the host was so knowledgable and warm and inviting. The driving was smooth, both the vineyards were amazing and the families that run them were equally as welcoming. 4 hour tour that was just perfect, wouldnt have changed a thing, the drive was even super interesting! Loved it.

The tour was very good. The guide Ilia was very friendly and personable. He provided good information throughout the tour. We were a group of 6 on the tour and although there were to be 8, that would have been very crowded in the van. We would recommend keeping it to 6 with the current transport. Overall, would definitely recommend Ilia and the tour.
