Great day despite the rain!

We had a great day despite the rain! Our guide Carole was very informative and engaging. Be advised that St. Emilion is too difficult for anyone with mobility issues. We stayed up top, though, and had a wonderful lunch. The wineries were very interesting as well. Thanks for a great day!

Great tour and guide!

Absolutely a great tour!! Myriam is a pro and she made the day an interesting and fun experience. The villages we visited were beautiful and filled with old world charm. The wine tasting was informative and delicious and the castle was the icing on a wonderful day!

Martin’s #1 fans

We did the cave tour the day before and were delighted to see our guide Martin again. It was a smaller group to Rocamadour, so it was fewer people interrupting his excellent storytelling. We began at the end of the via dolorosa and worked our way down, which is easier than going up the stairs. The shrine of the Black Madonna was intensely sacred. Like the caves, don’t take pictures of her! Sit and contemplate the mysteries.

Excellent tour experience. Difficult shipping process.

The tour was excellent. We learned about Alsace, it's political heritage and, of course, the history of wine making in the region. The two wineries we visited were quite different and offered insight into the process from divergent view points. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I would do this tour again, upon our next visit to Alsace. We purchased wine and wanted it shipped to our son in Berlin, who we were visiting two weeks later. The tour guide stated he could/would take care of the shipping. We completed the forms, paid the stated shipping fee and left it in his hands. The wine was misplaced and not shipped. After several emails with the tour company and the shipping company the wine was found and shipped. Unfortunately, not in time for us to enjoy the wine with our Berlin family.

Rouffignac alone is worth the money, but Martin is incredible!

I was amazed at just how much we got to see during this trip. Rouffignac alone would have been worth the cost—it was truly emotional to see the art in person—but along the drive Martin managed to fit so many other sites in. His knowledge is exhaustive, and he left me with a couple of great book recommendations. The museum stop was great; I’m surprised we’re still learning so many new things about our ancestors just from this small region and Les Eyzies was a cute place to walk around at lunchtime. I was skeptical that Lascaux would feel meaningful as it’s a replica, but I found that the tour there where they talked about artistic techniques was a great way to round out the day. A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. While much of the trip is accessible, those with limited mobility might find it to be a lot of walking. We had some older folks in our group who seemed to have a harder time with the long day. 2. At Rouffignac, the tour is in French. Martin had a headset for everyone and translated during the tour, but I found it difficult hearing both languages at once and ended up removing the headset. I understand enough French to get something out of the tour without translation, and I’m glad I chose to focus on what I could see and could ask follow up questions later. If you’re someone like me at an advanced intermediate level, go without the headset and take in the sights instead. 3. Please bring cash to tip your guide! Martin went out of his way to drop people at their hotels in the rain and no one else tipped him. I couldn’t believe the rudeness. 4. I can’t believe this has to be said but don’t take pictures in the cave.

Fantastic tour with Killian

Killian was an awesome guide. He is extremely knowledgeable and interactive! He obviously has fun doing what he does. The tour was very sobering. It is so worth it. If I could give Killian 10 stars, I would. The sites we visited really make you reflect on the events. It was so inspiring to actually see what kind of terrain they had to overcome, all the while, being shot at. Definitely take this tour. It was amazing. Thanks Killian!

Perfecto afternoon in Bordeaux

It’s hard to describe highlights for this trip, as there were nothing but… Our tour guide Maud was spectacular and extremely knowledgeable about the wine, the region, the Château and everything else we had questions about in StEmillion. Probably the best overall tour of anything we’ve taken – don’t miss this! It’s magical!

Great excursion to St. Emilion & Wineries

Came to Bordeaux for the first time with my husband and adult daughter. Anne was our guide and she did an excellent job of describing the different stages of wine-making. She provided clear and interesting information about St. Emilion, the region, and great restaurant recommendations. Her driving was excellent! This was a highlight of our trip and would definitely recommend it. The smaller group size of 8 was perfect.

Great half day Normandy tour

A really great way to see all of the monuments and sites in a short period of time. Our guide, Killian was knowledgeable but also kept things light with the serious subject matter. Even though it was pouring rain we were able to see a lot and get the full experience. We enjoyed the small group tour as it allowed for questions and conversation. Thank you Killian!
