We had a blast with Captain Ron, Conner and Adam. Beautiful Napali coast. Water was beautiful and calm ish, and clear. Catamaran was nice and smooth. No one on board got sick. It was a beautiful day on the water. We also saw dolphin pods twice

Exceptional Experience with Makana Charters! Makana Charters gave us an unforgettable Napali Coast boat tour in Kauai. The captain and staff were absolutely amazing—so caring, respectful, and genuinely attentive throughout the entire trip. We were blown away by the breathtaking Napali mountains, the stunning coastline, and the beautiful waterfalls. The team shared so many interesting details and history about Kauai, which made the experience even more special. We also enjoyed snorkeling, dolphin watching, and taking in all the scenic views. This was my first trip with my mom and sister, and we all truly loved every moment. The sandwiches were delicious, the drinks were great, and the overall atmosphere on the boat was fantastic. I would highly recommend Makana Charters to anyone visiting Kauai. If you want an exceptional Napali boat tour, this is the one to choose!

Best tour ever! Makana and crew were awesome and so knowledgeable and friendly! They made the experience a 10/10! Seeing a pod of dolphins was the cherry on top. Something to note - the directions pin seems to be wrong on Viator. It’s a couple blocks before that pin. You’ll see a big sign and someone wearing a red and yellow shirt. :)

This is a great boat tour to see the Napali valley! The crew is doing their best to ensure an unforgettable experience. We saw dolphins, turtle and whale during the trip. We rode the waves along the coastline- truly a thrilling ride! Loved it!

Wow. Rode at a time of high surf/surge. “E Ticket” for sure. Expert boat handing over the large waves to see close up caves and rocky coast with beautiful mountains/volcanoes. Exhilarating, very fun ride.

We had an excellent experience with captain Makena, Charlie and Isaiah on the boat tour. Nepali coast is AMAZING! We saw dolphins and a little bit of a whale. They did a great job navigating the north shore swells and explaining Hawaiian history and culture. Awesome experience! Five stars would definitely recommend going. We will come back and do this tour again. Friendly, professional and entertaining.

The boat tour with Makana Charters was our favorite activity of our trip!! We had a blast! The whole crew was super cool, super knowledgeable and very laid back and fun. We loved the swimming spot they took us to and was such an amazing moment to see all those dolphins racing us and then watched the whales swimming around too! The boat gets bumpy but that was the fun part lol it was basically a water roller coaster along with a fun playlist of music all trip long. Sandwiches served for lunch were also delicious. I want to thank everyone that made the tour so much fun and special for us. Just a side note: might be a good idea to mention that only paid parking is available in the area. Was a bad surprise to see it was our only option and that we had to pay for it even though we were there for a tour.

This company is a scam. They took about $400 from me and I got NOTHING in return- they did not offer any rescheduling- they just wanted paid and for NOTHING. And Trip Advisor/Viator was even worse. I told my story to them about how the trip was booked on the wrong day and they rejected my request for a refund 5 minutes after I sent the request. There are many tour companies in Hawaii- hopefully this one goes out of business soon so they can stop ripping off customers. Don’t trust a word they say. THEY GET MY MONEY- I GET NOTHING!! Steer clear of these paradise pirates.

We have done many trips to Napali - about 1/2 of them out of the south. We really liked the team and captain with Makena and the fact they can go closer and into the caves etc where the other bigger boats could not. It felt a little more crowded on the smaller boat and not as much freedom to hang out standing like the bigger boats but not overly so.
