Captain Makana and his crew were amazing. This tour is definitely worth the money. I got an up close look of the NaPali coast. We went inside some of the cave areas and I felt completely safe. They were knowledgeable, interacted well with everyone and were fun to be with. I’lol book again when I return. ***PSA, book directly from the company, not a 3rd party. Their info isn’t always up to date, but the company info is.

What a wonderful tour! The whole experience was incredible! It was easy to find the check in and parking location at port Allen. The boat was great and the crew were lovely. We were lucky enough to have dolphins swim with the boat (which they usually don’t do). We also spotted a few humpback whales. The coastline was beautiful, nothing can compare. The entire time the crew and the captain were giving great knowledge about the history and culture of the area. They provided lunch and a brief opportunity to swim. The tour wrapped up right around 4.5 hours on the water which felt like the perfect amount of time for such a beautiful trip. Overall the highlight of our visit to Hawaii! Highly highly recommend!

If there were more than 5 stars I’d give it to them! Our Captain Mike De Silva and crew Jas and Charlie were truly exceptional and looked after everyone so well. We saw dolphins and whales, had a beautiful swim and learned so much about the Na Pali Coast. Definitely recommend! What a fantastic experience. Thank you!! 🐬

We had the best time with Captain Mike, Jazzy, and Tony. They were fun, knowledgeable, and such a joy. Captain Mike owns the company which we thought was really awesome to have him as our guide. Can’t recommend it enough. Locally owned and operated, too!

This was our third trip having new friends with us on Kauai and our first time with Makana charters. It was by far our very favorite experience. The boat is awesome, comfortable, and safe. The crew was very knowledgeable, polite and told many stories and pointed out just how incredibly this part of Kauai is. We saw whales, spinner dolphins and many sea birds along with the beautiful coast. My adult kids had a ball and can't quit talking about everything we experienced Will be back soon!! Brad Barger

Even though we couldn’t swim due to the weather, this trip was the highlight of our vacation (even my kids agree). The crew was so kind to me and my kids. We took a different boat ride with a different company a few years ago and this was the best. Will book with them again. Thank you so much ❤️

What an unforgettable experience !!! Big thanks to Captain AA, his niece and all Makana Charters 's family ! The tour on the boat Seiko 1 was fantastic ! Our Captain drove us into the heart of the extraordinary Na Pali Coast and gave us a lot of informations about the country, old villages and the living, culture and traditions of ancient hawaiians. Along the trip, we saw dolphins and humpback whales, our Captain entered into caves ( wahou, such a dexterity on driving the boat !!! 🤩😁, We thought we were in Pirates of the Caribean), shown us waterfalls,... We had snorkeling in Na Pali Coast 's pristine waters, swam with so many colourful fishes and an Hawaiian Honu and, when going back to Kikiaola Small Boats Harbor, we once again saw lots of dolphins and even a mother whale with her baby and the very young humpback gave us an unforgettable demonstration of his ability on jumping out of the water, smiling to us !!! Words can't express our feelings or our Joy...Once again thanks a lot and Big Up to Makana Charters, the only Hawaiian native company to drive boat tour on Na Pali Coast if I don't mistake ! We'll keep you all in our hearts and in our memories !🫶🫶👍👍 Carel and Karima

Amazing boat tour of the Na Pali coast, we all loved it and the kids (ages 11, 9, 7, 5, 5) especially had a great time. Amazing crew too, definitely using them again! Highly recommend.
