What a great tour and team! A special BRAVO to Jazzy - she was awesome! The team packed our tour with snorkeling, dolphins, whales, safety, and personal touches… but their “storytelling of the magnificent Na’Pali Coast” was the star of the show! We’ve been on tours in London, Paris, Italy…. but this one we shall not forget!

Pics don't do it justice. We had an amazing time. These people really are a group of true Hawaiians. I have been to four Hawaiian islands and the island of Kauai tied with the island of Hawaii. They are very special. Mauie and Oahu Are worth going to but Kauai and Hawaii are my favorites. Mahalo.

Mike was an excellent captain and navigated the boat to give us breath taking views. Jazzy and Elijah narrated and made sure we had fun experiences. The crew was excellent at spotting dolphin and we even had an unexpected pod of whales to show up. We appreciated the crew finding us an alternate spot for snorkeling since the original spot was too murky. The boat’s seats were comfortable and it handles the waves so well and very steady. We were able to get so close to the Napali coast and caves. An overall amazing tour!

The Napali Coast tour on the Amelia K was wonderful! The three leaders that supported our tour were all great---full of information and knowledge about all that we were seeing and appropriately focused on safety yet also fun--especially enjoyed Evan's singing. The scenery was stunning and the crew was great at helping us go to the front of the boat to get a better view. I also love seeing the dolphins and hearing the information from our naturalist about them and seeing a sea turle in the water. It was a great outing!

Amazing cruise! Captain very experienced, whole team very friendly to the Hawaiian spirit! Amelia K is a very comfortable , strong and big boat! If you want a Na Pali Coast unique cruise this should be your first choice!

We had an incredible time on our Nepali coast tour! The scenery is breathtaking as was the wildlife. We saw several whales and dolphins. The guides shared their deep knowledge of the history of this area of the island which was fascinating. They made the entire experience entertaining and comfortable. We would highly recommend this phenomenal experience! Best of our trip!

Capt. Mike, Kona, and Jazzy made our day. The scenery alone is beautiful but the crew made it come alive with history, good conversation and laughter. If you have the chance, explore the beautiful coastline with this team. I promise you won’t regret it!

This was a great tour with Makana Charters. Captain Mike and his crew, Liliana and Kana interacted well with everyone and were very helpful throughout the tour. The catamaran type boat was really smooth and one of the advantages of Amelia K was the ability to maneuver the boat into some of the caves. Other tour boats that have masts are unable to do this. The boat had about 35 guests but did not feel crowded. The cover over the back half of the boat provided shade from the hot son for those who do not worship the sun god, while those who do like the sun were able to soak it up in the front of the boat. We encountered 3 different pods of dolphins and Capt. Mike stopped the boat for several minutes at each pod so that we could enjoy them. Snorkeling was only so so as the water at the snorkeling location had turned a little murky and there were not a lot of fish. But I did see a medium turtle. This same location is used by many of the other tour companies so we would have had the same murky water regardless of who we went with. Also, my wife has limited mobility. The crew was great in supporting her. Parking was a breeze as we were able to drive from the meeting point to a small parking area (there is an accessible spot) near the dock and walked about 50 yards to the boat. We were able to leave her wheelchair in the car. I don’t think we would have been able to put it on the boat so the close proximity to the parking area was really nice. Getting on and off the boat had about a 18-inch step up. Other than the step up, Of course, the scenery of the Napili coastline was beautiful and a for sure need to do activity. We will plan on doing this tour again with Makana the next time we are enjoying Kauai. And a big Mahalo to Mike, Liliana and Kana for making this tour great!

Captain Makana, Ethan and Charlie were an amazing crew with lots of information, kind and caring encouragement and working hard to serve everyone on board. We saw 3 whales, many spinner dolphins, 2 mountain goats, turtles galore, and an amazing variety of fish while snorkeling. It was a wonderful day of adventure along the Napali Coast.

This was such a fun trip! We were on the Seiko II with Tony and Re. They were a blast! Re is so informative and is an amazing captain! We really liked the small group on the boat, it made it easier to get around to see things. We were able to see bottle nose dolphins also, which was a bonus! The water was perfect the day we went so we were able to see a lot and go into caves that sometimes you can't! Tony was great helping get our gear for us and any assistance needed while snorkeling. Would do this again on future trips and would book with Re and Tony! Overall would recommend this to everyone!! Loved it!
