We had an amazing time on our snorkeling and Na Pali Coast catamaran tour! The crew was absolutely fantastic – full of energy, humor, and great stories that made the day so much fun. They went above and beyond to make everyone comfortable, even when one of our group wasn’t feeling well and another was a bit older and needed a little extra care. Their kindness and attentiveness really stood out and made the trip that much more enjoyable. The scenery was beyond breathtaking, the snorkeling was beautiful, and the overall vibe was relaxed yet exciting. We left with unforgettable memories and so much gratitude for the incredible crew. Highly recommend! 🌊🐠⛰️

An amazing crew who made the morning boat tour of Na Pali coastline so much fun! Honestly, this was the best tour package we experienced in Kaua’i. If you are debating this tour or a helicopter tour, I recommend going with Makana. We did the doors open helicopter tour a day before this tour, and our family preferred the Na Pali Boat tour with Makana. Thank you, Makana!!!

Absolutely fantastic. The crew was super fun and attentive to all the details. We went clear up the coast and heard some great pieces about Hawaiian history and culture along the way. We went during the summer months, so we were able to snorkel, and then came across a big pod of dolphins there and back during the tour. I would definitely go again.

I don't even know where to begin. This is one of, if not the best travel excursion my family has ever been on. The Napali Coast was beyond words. We saw bottlenose dolphins, spinner dolphins with babies, sea turtles, and seals. Going into the sea caves was intense and surreal. Our Captain and crew were so great. Makana and Kana! Funny helpful and adventurous. They made the tour! Snorkeling and jumping off the boat was so fun. I will do this with Makana Charters again. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience with my family!!

Yesterday, we did the afternoon boat trip with Makana. What a great adventure! We saw all the spectacular cliffs and beaches on the southwest coast of Kauai. The boat itself was great; very stable, sturdy, clean and had padded benches with handrails for all of the passengers. During the trip we were able to stop in a sheltered lee and snorkeled for about 45 minutes; saw lots of fish, dolphins and turtles. Our crew consisted of Lili, Malaga, and Elijah. They were great, very communicative, helpful and very safety conscious; gave several safety briefings prior to and during the trip. All in all, a super trip with an outstanding crew and boat. Highly recommended.

Wow, what an amazing experience! I couldn’t recommend high enough doing a Na Pali Coast Tour with Makana. The crew was fantastic. The tour was breathtaking. I really appreciated the captain and crew sharing about their Hawaiian heritage and the historical significance of the Na Pali coast. We absolutely loved our tour on the Amelia K! We had Makana, Liliana and Elijah as our guides and they made the day so fun! We explored beaches, sea caves and the Na Pali coast. Everyone was born and raised in Kauai so they were extremely knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations! We 100% will be booking with them again if we have the chance!

This tour was an absolute blast! The captain and crew were incredible—friendly, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, committed to keeping everyone safe. The Na Pali Coast is breathtaking, and learning about its rich history made the experience even more special. The sea caves were fascinating, the snorkeling was unforgettable, and while the waves were a bit rough at times, they only added to the adventure. I will definitely book this tour again next time I’m in Kaua‘i.

E we had a blast hanging out with the crew at Makana Charters. The Seiko 2 was the perfect boat to enjoy all that we spotted (so many dolphins and even a few turtles and monk seals!) Thanks for the beautiful memories!

We had a wonderful trip on the Seiko with A’a and Kana. They were friendly, kind, hilarious, very knowledgeable about the ocean, and open about their Hawaiian culture. We had a great day! My kids said it’s the best tour they have ever done.
