Some of the rooms in the castle feel gimmicky. I would go early in the morning or after 2:00 pm because it can get very busy. There are very small rooms that can get crowded quickly.

The grounds are lovely, and have great views. Clearly it is a must see if you are in Transylvania. Unfortunately the castle itself is not a great visit, with a poor layout, random information boards, and largely inconsiderate visitors. It is also extremely expensive by Romanian standards, including the shop which was about 60% more expensive for the same drinks than the convenience store just outside.

What was the hype about, what was the point going here? I get that the dracula thing was just a rumour back then, but it's just not it. If there's a longer line to get into the castle I DO NOT recommend going in it at all. The whole interior is made very poorly, the story seems like nothing ever even happened and don't come close thinking about buying the torture room tickets, it is quite literally two rooms: in one they don't even allow you to come in, the second is just a projector with a film turned on... Truly a terrible experience i had, the amount of people was also leading to a negative view and overall I was truly disappointed.

Le unixhe stanzw che richiamano alla leggenda si Dracula sono stanze con manichini paurosi. Il castello é ben conservato ma non è un Castello che consiglierei.

Als ich im Schloss war schien die Sonne, es war sehr heiß. Dann sind die schiere Menge an Touristen nicht so angenehm. Es ist alles sehr beengt. Dann die Hitze und die Menschen schieben sich dadurch. So if you want to see everything, it gets quite expensive. If there are a lot of tourists, it gets very crowded to walk in those small rooms and corridors in the castle. Otherwise, this is a place that you will not regret having visited but will not be completely sold on either. (Original) Att åka till Brașov är med intentionerna av att se slottet. Är det värt det? Jag skulle säga att slottet historia och myter gör det värt att se. Det finns mycket att läsa om och historien om Drakula gör det spännande. Att se vilka som levt i slottet och vad som hände där är intressant att både se och läsa om. Dock förväntade jag mig utifrån förväntningarna jag har fått sedan innan mycket mer. Went here on a Monday. It also happened to be the day we were flying back. We thought we were saving the highlight of our Transylvania road trip till last. What we didn’t realise because we hasn’t checked opening times and just assumed though, is that it is closed on a Monday for half of the day and wouldn’t open until later that afternoon and we had to drive 4 hours back to the airport. Luckily we managed to get onto the grounds through a gate that had been left open by some construction workers, however there isn’t much to see. The best view we got was actually across the road, up a steep path - it was so steep that we only managed a few steps up. If you go to the front of the castle, cross over, there is a little stream and a grazing field, above you’ll see a cross in the mountains; go along to that mountain and if you have the nerve, stamina and ability, you can walk up it and you’ll be rewarded with a excellent view of the castle. Want to gutted about not going in after that.
