Brilliant tourist attraction and helpful staff. I sprained my hamstring before going to the castle and was a bit concerned about getting around. The staff was very helpful and looked out for mobility limited people like myself.

The castle itself is beautiful, and its surroundings are too, but there's no control whatsoever over capacity, and you end up crammed into a very narrow interior with low ceilings, where it's practically impossible to stay in one place for even a minute. There's not much to see or highlight inside, since it's often said that Vlad Tepes didn't actually live there; he was simply assigned that castle due to repetition. It's probably better to visit the surrounding area and not waste your money on an interior that leaves you rather unimpressed. (Original) Iba con una expectativa muy alta y fue un poco decepcionante. El castill en sí es precioso y sus alrededores también, pero no tienen ningún tipo de control de aforo y allí te juntas con cristo y su madre en un interior muy estrecho, con techos bajos y en los que es prácticamente imposible quedarte 1 minuto en un lugar. El interior no tiene mucha cosa que ver ni que destacar, ya que se suele decir que realmente Vlad Tepes no vivió allí, simplemente se le asignó ese castillo por repetición. Igual es mejor ir a visitar los alrededores y no gastarse el dinero en un interior que te deja bastante igual.

A hideous tourist trap. It’s bad enough that they charge you €14 for entry which is far too high for an attraction of its quality. It was extremely crowded meaning we had to queue outside for about twenty minutes before going in. That wasn’t too much of an issue. The real issue is that it’s so crowded once you get inside, it’s just not possible to enjoy the place and you spend a long time standing still waiting for the line of people to move. It’s a typical Eastern European castle. Nothing special inside. It is full of naff Dracula rubbish that has nothing to do with the actual history of the castle. To be fair, the place does a good job of telling the real story of the castle but then it ruins it by putting loads of Dracula inspired junk alongside it. For €14 you can certainly do a lot better with your time. Also if you feel tempted to go to the time tunnel thing, read the reviews for it. They are shocking.
