The organization of visits to the castle could definitely be improved. External guides are no longer allowed inside, so if you're part of an organized group, the guided talk happens outside the castle. You can pay extra for a tour with one of the castle’s guides, but those are only offered in Romanian or English. The queues are very long - we waited about an hour and a half just to get in. Fast line tickets are available, but they only help you reach the entrance faster. After that, both lines merge anyway, and the so-called “barrier” is often ignored by visitors who didn’t even buy fast line tickets. Inside, there’s no real limit on how many people are allowed in, so it gets extremely crowded. You move through the castle packed tightly with everyone else, with no chance to step aside or take your time. Emergency exit signs? Non existent. Honestly, you just hope nothing happens that would require an evacuation. The staff were rude, and communication was very difficult - it wasn’t clear whether it was because of the language barrier or simply a lack of willingness to help foreign visitors. The rooms are narrow, and again, too many people are allowed in at once. There was a lot of pushing, mostly from visitors trying to take photos for social media rather than actually see the place. Staff didn’t step in to manage the situation, which made the whole experience feel uncomfortable and, at times, unsafe.

We booked tickets in advance because we heard there were long lines at the entrance, it didn't seem that bad. You have to go through a beautifully maintained garden to get to the entrance to the castle. And here it gets crowded... Everyone is crowded and trying to move forward, to see family photos of the Romanian royal family, and the story behind it. Less suitable for children... They were really bored and we weren't blown away by the atmosphere either. There is an option to enter a torture chamber display for an additional fee and luckily we didn't go for it.... After we left the castle we discovered that there was a beautiful garden outside with a medieval display, an arena with two people fighting. Music that matches the period, a blacksmith, a goldsmith and a potter and very nice mini-games and here the children and we really enjoyed ourselves. The adjacent market is nice and varied and doesn't seem to be that expensive compared to the tourist markets we've been to before. (Original) הגענו עם 2 ילדים בגילאים 8 ו-10 ברכב. קיימת חנייה בתשלום ממש בקרבת מקום. הזמנו כרטיסים מראש כי שמענו שיש תורים ארוכים בכניסה, לא נראה שהיה נורא כל כך. יש לעבור גן מטופח ויפה על מנת להגיע לכניסה לטירה. וכאן זה נהיה צפוף... כולם צפופים ומנסים להתקדם, על מנת לראות תמונות משפחתיות של משפחת מלוכה רומנית, והסיפור מאחוריה. פחות מתאים לילדים... הם השתעממו ממש וגם אנחנו לא עפנו מהאווירה. יש אופציה להכנס לתצוגת חדר עינויים בתוספת תשלום ומזל שלא הלכנו על זה.... לאחר שיצאנו מהטירה גילנו שיש גן יפיפה בחוץ עם תצוגת ימי הביניים, זירה עם שני אנשים נלחמים. מוזיקה שתואמת את התקופה, נפח, צורף וקדרית ומיני משחקים נחמדים מאוד וכאן הילדים ואנחנו ממש נהננו. השוק הצמוד נחמד ומגוון ונראה שלא יקר כל כך ביחס לשווקים של תיירות שעברנו בהם לפני.

Allerdings völlig überfüllt - trotz gebuchtem Zeitfenster mussten wir über eine Stunde anstehen und wurden dann mit der Masse durch die Innenräume geschoben. Es bleibt wenig Gelegenheit, stehen zu bleiben oder die Infos zu lesen. Vielleicht ist es außerhalb der Saison besser, wir würden nicht wiederkommen, sondern auf die zahlreichen Burgen in der Umgebung ausweichen.
