You pay a lot of money (150 Lei for the "skip the line" tickets our guide talked us into buying – supposedly to avoid the masses) only to then have to stand in line through the building in huge crowds. In some places, the stairs are so narrow that one wrong step can be dangerous. It's unthinkable what could happen if someone is claustrophobic or panics, or if there's a medical emergency and help needs to arrive quickly. I find it truly sad that tourists are simply exploited here as cash cows, and that the motto seems to be "the more visitors, the more money flows in," rather than the well-being of the visitors. The castle itself is beautifully preserved, and the exhibitions are well-designed, but the conditions under which a visit is possible are unacceptable. (Original) Warnung! Man zahlt sehr viel Geld (150 Lei für die "skip the line tickets" die uns von unserem Guide eingeredet wurden- vermeintlich um den massen zu entgehen) um sich dann in Menschenmengen schlangestehend durch das Gebäude zu bewegen. Zum Teil wird es auf den stiegen so eng dass ein falscher Schritt gefährlich sein kann. Nicht auszudenken was passieren könnte wenn jemand klaustrophobisch ist oder panik bekommt oder wenn es einen medizinischen Notfall gibt und schnell Hilfe kommen sollte. Ich finde es wirklich traurig dass Tourist:innen hier nur als Cash cow ausgenutzt werden und scheinbar das Motto, je mehr desto mehr Geld kommt in die Kassen, vor dem Wohlergehen der Besucher:innen steht. Das Schloss selbst ist sehr schön erhalten und die Ausstellungen schön gestaltet aber die Umstände unter denen der Besuch gemacht werden kann sind unzumutbar.

Vor dem Schloss ist es sehr touristisch, jede Menge Andenkenshops und Imbissbuden an denen man die unterschiedlichsten rumänischen, ungarischen und internationalen Snacks probieren kann. Eine ganz nette Abwechslung in unserem ansonsten eher beschaulichen Wanderurlaub.

When we left, the queue was twice as long and people had to wait about 2 hours. The castle itself was nothing special at all. Any small castle in Austria or Germany is much more worth seeing. And you can often get in there for free or for 10€. Here it costs 18€ for nothing but waiting and seeing other people's backs. I would never have come here if I had known what it was like. I really can't understand the positive reviews.

Awfully touristic. The whole town is set up for tourists, has nothing to do with Romanian History or landscape anymore. If you pass by, take a look at the castle from the outside. Otherwise not worth a visit

Neskutočne preplnený hrad, kde celú návštevu len stojíte v neskutočnom rade a to sme prišli ešte skôr. Pri vychádzaní z hradu už bola vonku rada tak na min 1h. Za mňa návšteva nemá význam zvnútra, stačí park a pohľady spredu.
