We arrived around 7 pm, thinking there would be fewer people and the visit would be more pleasant. No such luck. The staff was busy preparing for an event: tables set up everywhere, food, cocktails, tableware, equipment… and above all, constant noise. There was shouting in every direction, and absolutely no effort was made to respect the visitors who were still there. We literally felt like we were intruding on our own visit, even though we had just paid €40. The staff walked behind us to make us move forward and clearly rushed us to leave. We had barely left a room before they were already setting up their tables. An absolutely surreal experience. And what about the "staging"... Half-decorated rooms, overhead projectors straight out of a 2008 PowerPoint presentation, and frankly kitschy animations... In one of the rooms, the projector even stopped working, and we were treated to a magnificent Windows wallpaper. At that price, it's practically contemporary art. 😂 The famous coffin room? We're still trying to figure out what it's all about. The aging decor and the overall atmosphere mostly give the impression of a route set up without any real staging or coherence. We were expecting something truly immersive centered around the history and legend of Dracula. Instead: projectors, three decorations that look like they're fighting each other, staff pushing you towards the exit, and an upcoming event that clearly takes over the visitors' lives. Not even a proper lighting scheme or staging that could make the visit worthwhile. For a place with such a reputation and such a price, one would frankly expect much, much better. In short: pretty exterior, extremely disappointing interior, unpleasant experience, and catastrophic value for money. 👉 €40 for two people to feel like they're intruding the entire time? No thanks. Avoid at all costs. (Original) ⭐️ À FUIR. Honnêtement, on cherche encore ce qui justifie 40 € pour deux personnes. L’extérieur du château est certes joli et le bâtiment est plutôt bien conservé, mais une fois à l’intérieur… quelle déception. Nous sommes venus vers 19h justement en pensant qu’il y aurait moins de monde et que la visite serait plus agréable. Raté. Le personnel était en plein préparatif d’un événement : tables installées partout, nourriture, cocktails, vaisselle, matériel… et surtout, un bruit permanent. Ça criait dans tous les sens et absolument aucun effort n’était fait pour respecter les visiteurs encore présents. On avait littéralement l’impression de gêner sur notre propre visite, alors qu’on venait quand même de payer 40 €. Le personnel marchait derrière nous pour nous faire avancer et nous a clairement pressés pour sortir. À peine avions-nous quitté une pièce qu’ils commençaient déjà à installer leurs tables. Une expérience absolument lunaire. Et que dire de la « mise en scène »… Des pièces à moitié décorées, des rétroprojecteurs dignes d’une présentation PowerPoint de 2008 des animations franchement kitsch… Dans l’une des salles, le rétroprojecteur s’est même arrêté et nous avons eu droit à un magnifique fond d’écran Windows. À ce prix-là, c’est presque de l’art contemporain. 😂 La fameuse salle du cercueil ? On cherche encore l’intérêt. Les décors vieillissants et l’ambiance générale donnent surtout l’impression d’un parcours installé sans véritable mise en scène ni cohérence. Nous nous attendions à quelque chose de vraiment immersif autour de l’histoire et de la légende de Dracula. Au lieu de ça : des projecteurs, trois décorations qui se battent en duel, du personnel qui vous pousse vers la sortie et un événement en préparation qui prend clairement le dessus sur les visiteurs. Même pas de véritable ambiance lumineuse ou de mise en scène qui pourrait rendre la visite intéressante. Pour un lieu avec une telle réputation et un tarif pareil, on s’attend franchement à beaucoup, beaucoup mieux. Bref : extérieur joli, intérieur extrêmement décevant, expérience désagréable et rapport qualité/prix catastrophique. 👉 40 € pour deux personnes pour avoir l’impression d’être de trop pendant toute la visite ? Non merci. À fuir.

In my case, it took about 15 minutes. The castle itself is small, and there is almost nothing about the Dracula legend. In my opinion, it is not worth the price. The road under the castle is full of traffic and the surrounding street is full of tourists. The restaurant in the castle garden is not gluten-free and lactose-free friendly and is expensive as hell.
