Visiting Bran Castle is well worth it despite the tiring drive from Bucharest. The 180 km journey takes about 3.5 hours due to heavy traffic, limited highways, and stretches through small villages. Buying tickets in advance saves considerable waiting time. The castle is well preserved as an example of a 14th-century fortress, featuring both original and more recent elements. It is a key landmark in Transylvania. The Dracula legend is the least significant part of the visit and thankfully does not overshadow the castle’s authentic historical appeal.
