We had a very bad experience here, as we were sold tickets and then denied entry since our coach tour was late. I had checked with the castle prior to this that we were okay to use our tickets and they said yes. We queued for 40 minutes in freezing rain to be told we would need to go back to the gates and pay more for tickets. We didn't do this as they were already expensive. It ruined our day out, and our trip, which was to celebrate a special occasion.

He made the day, was absolutely satisfied with the tour, though was initially pessimistic about the castle, knowing it has no connection to Vlad Impaler. Very enjoyable tour. Okay, the author has never been to Bran, but the atmosphere was exactly like the book. I also liked the interiors: simple but well-kept. The rooms dedicated to the typical monsters of Romanian culture are also cute; perhaps some are a little childish, but if it's meant to entertain children, that's fine. It's true, there's a lot of marketing surrounding the Dracula story, but in my opinion, this castle is still worth a visit. Il castello poi è mozzafiato, specialmente da fuori! "Dracula" è uno dei miei romanzi preferiti, e il castello del conte me lo immaginavo esattamente così dallesterno! Poi ok, lo scrittore non è mai stato a Bran, ma l'atmosfera era proprio quella del libro. Anche gli interni mi sono piaciuti, semplici ma ben tenuti. Carine anche le stanze dedicate ai mostri tipici della cultura rumena, forse alcune un po' infantili, ma se serve per divertire anche i bambini va bene così. È vero, c'è molto marketing sulla storia di Dracula, ma secondo me questo castello vale comunque una visita. L'unica pecca sono i troppi turisti rumorosi, soprattutto italiani 😜.

Some parts are dangerous, for example, the ceiling drops very sharply or there are stairs inside the rooms for which there is no warning. Also, be careful of the stairs from the ground floor to the upper floors, it is steep and very crowded. If you want to enter the torture chamber, you have to pay extra, otherwise the ticket costs about 20€, which I think is not worth it for what you will see. The only positive thing is that it has a nice view from the upper floors, as well as shops with delicious snacks outside the castle. My opinion is that if you visit it, you should prefer to tour the exteriors only. (Original) Δυστυχώς θα συμφωνήσω με όσους το αποκαλούν tourist trap-και όχι άδικα. Πιστεύαμε οτι θα δουμε ενα αυθεντικό μεσαιωνικό κάστρο αλλά τα εκθέματα, πέραν του οτι ειναι άσχετα μεταξυ τους (με ελάχιστες αναφορές στον Βλαντ Τσέπες στον οποίο υποτίθεται ειναι αφιερωμένο το κάστρο) θυμίζουν σκηνικό ταινίας τρόμου, πολύ στημένο. Ορισμένα σημεία ειναι επικίνδυνα, πχ το ταβανι χαμηλώνει πολυ απότομα ή εχει σκαλακια μεσα στους χώρους για τα οποία δεν υπάρχει καμία προειδοποίηση. Επισης προσοχη στη σκάλα απο το ισόγειο για τους πανω ορόφους, ειναι απότομη και εχει πολυ συνωστισμό. Αν θελετε να μπείτε στην αίθουσα βασανιστηριων πρεπει να πληρώσετε έξτρα, αλλιως το εισιτήριο αντιστοιχεί σε περίπου 20€ που θεωρώ δεν αξίζουν για αυτα που θα δειτε. Το μονο θετικό ειναι οτι εχει ωραια θεα στους πανω ορόφους, καθώς και μαγαζια με νόστιμα σνακ εξω απο το κάστρο. Γνώμη μου ειναι αν το επισκεφτείτε να προτιμήσετε να περιηγηθείτε στους εξωτερικούς χώρους μόνο.
