I’d recommend buying fast track in advance as when we arrived there was a huge queue up to the castle. The walk up to the castle & queue, is very steep. If you have trouble walking you may find this difficult to get up. The legend of Dracula aka Vlad has given the castle a major reputation which was unfortunately lacking in person. It was slightly underwhelming, it just felt like an ordinary, average castle. With that being said, it is a must to go and experience, the castle is beautiful in itself with amazing views. The best part of the experience was coming out of the castle and going into the gardens where they had a little medieval town/city going on with mediaeval music, jobs, hobbies and a shop to buy some goodies. It is a must to go and experience for yourself.

A history-rich place, transformed into profiteering and thematically distorted to match the Dracula narrative. Spoiler alert, Dracula is merely a work of fiction and has nothing with the actual history of this castle. The price increased to 120 RON, even though there are works and you're unable to visit some areas. What you can visit though is rather poor and unauthentic. It's disappointing this became nothing more than just a money mule for tourists.

Rip-off. Such a cheap touristic trap with a “Dracula” attractions for those type of tourists who like unauthentic experiences. The castle itself is beautiful, but the owners just using it to make money. Such a shame
