The beautiful central courtyard is another standout feature, adding charm and offering a lovely space to pause and take in the surroundings. It feels more like stepping into the past than walking through a typical museum. Many of the exhibits focus on Queen Marie of Romania, which is interesting and well presented. However, there are far fewer Dracula references than visitors might expect. Some of the immersive Romanian folklore rooms felt a bit tacky and could be improved. Overall, it’s a fascinating and memorable place, though it would benefit from sharing more of its own history — especially the military history of the fortress — in greater depth.

This castle is very beautiful, it certainly feels like it's come straight out of a fantasy novel. The history is also fascinating, we particularly enjoyed learning about Queen Marie of Romania who was absolutely incredible! We also enjoyed eating lunch at the delightful restaurant there, in Queen Marie's Tea House. My friend really enjoyed looking around the castle grounds and fueling her pasion for Dracula.
