Nice castle, but there are many, many better ones throughout Romania and Europe as a whole. Castle is not very large, and you can finish the tour in 30 minutes, if you're not reading all the historic notes in each room. Of course, this castle is famous for the Dracula lore, which is the only reason I went here, despite the hefty $25+ USD standard entry ticket. The walk to the entrance has a steep hill, something to consider for the handicap, elderly, or children. The stairs inside the castle can also be narrow and steep.

Really great castle. If you like gothic vibe thats for you. Very great activities around the castle as well. There are bars and markers with souvenirs and romanian traditional stuffs near by. For the castle, k really like it but keep in mind there is a lot of incline walking and a lot of stairs. Worth visiting. Keep in mind there are a lot of tourists.. like a lot you are moving next to people most of the time(it was sunday).

There is scaffolding all over the west side right now. It doesn’t appear to have been there in the pictures on Google from a month ago. So just be aware. I know it’s a necessary thing with these old buildings (and the bane of my European vacations, haha). I decided not to pay to go in because I was mostly interested in the facade, and didn’t want to pay to get closer with the scaffolding. I decided to drive all the way to Corvin Castle instead (well worth it!).

⭐⭐½ Bran Castle: Beautiful, but not worth the price Bran Castle is undeniably beautiful, and the setting is spectacular. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me disappointed. The castle and surrounding area feel extremely touristy and heavily redone, and much of the historic atmosphere has been replaced by something that feels more like a poorly executed Renaissance fair. The artisan area is especially tourist-oriented, with lots of stalls and souvenir merchandise. Rather than feeling like an authentic historic village or cultural experience, it felt designed primarily for tourists. The service was also strangely absent. I waited and waited and waited at the tavern, along with another couple, and no one came to take our order. There was a purse behind the bar, but apparently no one available to actually serve customers and no sign saying when they will be back. Eventually, I simply left. I'm currently sitting at the tea house having essentially the same experience: beautiful surroundings, but seemingly no one available to serve. That was perhaps the strangest part of the whole visit. There are people around, yet the visitor experience feels oddly disconnected and poorly managed. The castle itself and the mountain setting are beautiful, and I'm glad I saw it. But considering the admission price and how commercialized the experience has become, I don't feel the overall experience was worth the money. Beautiful location. Interesting history. Extremely touristy, heavily commercialized, and oddly lacking in service. Go if seeing Bran Castle is on your bucket list, but adjust your expectations accordingly.
