It's basically a castle where Vlad Tepes vel Dracula never lived in. He was only kept as a prisoner there for a few days. So no,bits not dracula's castle whatsoever. Admission fee 100 RON is way to much for what you can actually see. Historically also nothing special.

(Translated by Google) Great tour! I recommend visiting early in the morning or after 5 pm, as many tour buses arrive at the castle around midday, leading to long queues. After 5 pm, we didn't have to wait and were able to buy our tickets directly at the entrance from machines (in English). In my opinion, a standard ticket is sufficient for spending 60-90 minutes here. The castle itself is beautiful, even though it's become very commercialized due to "Dracula" (rooms with vampire coffins; rooms with Vlad and impaled people, etc.), although the real Vlad Tepes probably never resided here. You can book additional tickets for the torture museum and the "time travel tunnel," but you don't have to. A walk through the castle grounds is also highly recommended. (Original) Tolle Tour.

New owners made the upper level into a cheap dollar store Halloween area - not impressed at all. Other than that, still an interesting landmark.

Count Dracula is a fictional character, considered to be inspired by the 15th century brutal Transylvanian ruler Vlad The Impaler (born in Sighisoara), and back in the 1970s as a marketing strategy to bring more tourists to Romania it was decided to “sell” Bran Castle as the original Dracula’s Castle, even that geographically and architecturally does not match the book description. I guess sometimes it’s just ok to keep the stories going and accept a little lie with the excuse of visiting places like this one!
