We had an excellent time with Alex, our super friendly tour guide on the Best of Shibuya food tour. Alex took us to 5 great spots: a delicious tonkotsu ramen place (excellent collagen broth), an exquisite sushi restaurant (the flounder, mackerel and salmon with mayo were top notch), a wonderful okonomiyaki place with the sweetest staff, a tasty izakaya with yummy chicken wings and mocktails, and then finally fluffy obanyaki filled with red bean paste or custard at the Shibuya Tokyu Foodshow. Alex had great stories and little known facts about each place. The early meeting time ensured that we were seated right away, and sometimes were the only patrons so it was like a private restaurant tour. Highly recommended!

We had a great afternoon in Tokyo with the fashion tour. Our guide Jacob was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We visited the major Japanese designer shops as well as trendy brands. We wouldn't have found these shops on our own.

Our family did the Asakusa Twilight food tour with Ema and I have to say that it was one of the highlights of our visit to Tokyo! Ema took us to places that we never would have found on our own and introduced us to lots of delicious foods in the area. While walking from place to place, Ema served as an amazing tour guide sprinkling in facts about all the landmarks we saw and generally making the evening an overall very pleasurable experience. We are forever indebted to you Ema for introducing us to the best yakisoba!

We had a fantastic evening with Arigato Tours! We did the Hidden Gems food tour alongside the “salarymen” with our fabulous guide Justin. The food was delicious and Justin catered to my “less adventurous” palate, which was very much appreciated. He brought so much energy and knowledge to the evening and we truly had a blast. 10/10 -would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, informative and memorable evening. We booked two food tours with Arigato travel during our time in Tokyo and thoroughly enjoyed both. Our family of 4 happened to have the guide to ourselves both times. Francois introduced us to different types of regional Japanese foods, all in the Ginza area. He also did a great job of teaching us Japanese etiquette and traditions. Meeca showed us that Harajuku takes traditional Japanese foods and tweaks them to make them even trendier and more fun! Meeca also pointed us towards shopping we might enjoy after the tour, paying extra attention to the tastes of our daughters. Both guides brought us to places we would never have found on our own, and both helped us navigate food sensitivities successfully and respectfully towards the dining establishments. Noboru was the best guide! He was very knowledgeable about Japanese culture and history. Even though it was a food tour, he showed us around neighborhoods and explained the intricacies of Kyoto. The restaurants he took us to were authentic and gave us a great sample of Japanese food. Totally going above and beyond, he took us to a fishing store because my husband mentioned he liked to fish, and he took us to where a festival was happening so that we could see all the festivities. We loved it!

The Arigato Travel team guided us as we planned our family trip to Japan. Our travel consultant helped us select activities, tours, and accommodations. What a difference this makes! We loved our matcha tour in Uji, 2 cultural tours of Kyoto and our Tsukiji outer fish market tour in Tokyo.
