Excellent host Miyuki took us to 4 different places to eat. Craft beer , Sake as well as oysters ,fried chicken and a wonderful cabbage noodle pancake (Okonomiyaki) cooked in front of us Appreciated having a guide to ourselves who used quiet and authentic venues . Miyuki was extremely engaging , cheerful and amusing. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

Fun and enlightening

Jane was an excellent guide, sharing her knowledge of different Japanese cuisines with infectious enthusiasm. Janes rapport with the various restaurants meant we received an experience more akin to popular regulars than tourists. The food was superb and plentiful, so we'd recommend skipping lunch beforehand and learning the phrase gochisou sama deshita!

A great glimpse into the Osaka food scene

We heard that Osaka was the food capital of Japan, and it did not disappoint on the tour led by our guide Asli. She led us through the area around the Dotonbori to four different restaurants that offered different styles of food for which Osaka is known. Asli also showed us the famed view of the neon signs, including the Gilco Running Man, from the Ebisu Bridge. While walking through the Chuo Ward, she explained the different types of restaurant signs and how to decode what they mean. This was a great and easy way to dive into Osaka on our first day.

Fantastic Night Street Food Experience in Osaka with Ike & Arigato Japan Food Tours

Great food and sights!

This tour was very fun! The Tsukiji market had a lot of great and tasty options, the weather was perfect for an outside picnic, and the temple we also visited was so gorgeous. Jane was our tour guide and did an amazing job leading the experience!

We had an excellent time with Asli, our guide on the Osaka Food Tour. We sampled different appetizer and main course foods across 3 restaurants. Asli took us to historically significant parts of the area and was knowledgeable about the importance of Osaka to Japanese history. Everything we had was delicious - I highly recommend the tour even to people with dietary restrictions as the tour can accommodate those.

Our matcha tour with Raquel was incredible! We learned so much about the history and traditions of matcha. We stopped by some amazing and historical places of significance, had an authentic matcha tasting experience and ate the best lunch in Uji. I would 100% recommend this trip to matcha lovers as well as newbies. Raquel made this experience top notch!

I highly recommend her because and she knows where and who to go to for unique info and delicious recommendations (no pressureto buy or eat), has cultural knowledge and insights, advises on sensitivities and has fun too. Asakusa evening walking tour

Great evening walking tour through Asakusa, so much better than battling the crowds during the day. Our guide took us to some interesting and tasty food stalls as well as giving us a great experience of the area at night.

We have just completed a four and half hour tour of Yanaka with Wes and Jacob. This was extremely informative and interesting. Both guides were personable and attentive to our needs. We ate a range of local foods and lunch and attended a traditional tea ceremony which was beautifully performed. All in all I can thoroughly recommend both the guides and the tour.

Great Brunch Tour!

Jane was an awesome guide through the market! Starting at Turret Coffee was just what I needed to get going. We tried a Japanese breakfast and later had a picnic of all the great foods she picked out. Tuna and pickled apricots were my favorites. Jane is great at her job and patiently answered our questions. She is passionate about sharing her love of Japan and the market. She even took the time to teach us about Shintoism at the Namiyoke Shrine when we passed it. Great trip!

Amazing experience - feels like a night out with a friend!

My husband and I had the best food tour with our guide Ron. He took us to so many places we would’ve never gone to on our own, and all the food was delicious. Having a guided experience made Dotonbori less overwhelming and ensured we got good food and not touristy stuff. Also, it felt more like hanging with a local friend on a night out vs a tour. Ron was so easy to chat with, answered all of our questions, and gave us so much insight into Japanese culture. We can’t say enough good things about him and are recommending his tour to all of our friends.
