A great night of delicious treats

This was a brilliant evening exploring all the hidden gems in the Shibuya area. We learned all about local food and tried countless new delights, including a tasting flight of Saki, for which we now have a better appreciation. Our guide Joshua was charming company throughout a fun evening and even got us speaking a couple of words of Japanese. We can thoroughly recommend this tour.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with the Osaka food tour! Our guide, Kurt W, was so personable and did everything possible to make our night unforgettable. He gave us such a detailed tour, took us to areas even outside of the food tour that only locals would know, and even gave us personal recommendations!!! We’d recommend booking with Arigato Travel and we will no doubt be working with them again in the future!

Mae was onze gids. Heel vriendelijk enthousiast. Uitleg over omgeving, voedsel, cultuur, gewoontes. Hoewel ze niet Japans was, wist ze wel veel en sprak ze de taal. Zorg dat je veel trek hebt, want je gaat veel eten. Leuk om aan begin vakantie te doen. Diverse soorten eten op plekken waar je zelf misschien niet direct naar binnen zou lopen maakten het heel leuk. Goede schoenen en water heb je altijd nodig met wandelen. Wij vonden de afstand goed te doen.

We spent the afternoon with Clara doing the local Foodie Adventure in Sugamo. The atmosphere was easy, laid back and exceeded our expectations. Clara was knowledgeable, kept our preferences in mind and we left full. Overall great way to spend our 3rd day in Tokyo.

We had an amazing fashion tour in Tokyo with Jacob. He really introduced us to the world of Japanese fashion in a way we never could have experienced on our own. From the small hidden streets with unique boutiques to the busy main shopping avenue. What made the tour so special was how much knowledge Jacob has about Japanese fashion brands. He explained not only the brands themselves, but also the philosophy, history, craftsmanship, and inspiration behind them. You could tell he is genuinely passionate and knows the scene incredibly well. Another thing we really appreciated was how flexible he was throughout the tour. Whenever we mentioned a different style, brand, or type of store we were interested in, he immediately adapted the route and gave great recommendations. If you are interested in fashion, design, or Japanese culture in general, we would absolutely recommend booking a tour with Jacob. It was one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo.

I did the Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho, Kabukicho and Golden Gai Food Tour – Evening with a group of six and it was a highlight of my two weeks in Japan. Our guide Alex was fantastic. The perfect mix of knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. We went through different parts of Tokyo we never would have found without this tour and the food was GREAT! We had several stops and even ended at a karaoke bar. We had a nice mix of different foods and they were accommodating to two of the people in my group with shellfish allergies. This is a must do, can’t miss part of your Tokyo trip.
