Wieliczka Salt Mine Tour from Krakow

Summary

Leave your Kraków hotel between 3:30pm and 4pm, and travel out of the city toward the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Wieliczka Salt Mine. The centuries-old, subterranean site is the oldest mine of its kind. Learn some of its history as you descend deep into the salt chambers, and admire the saline architecture that appears in the form of St. Kinga’s Chapel, salt statues, and even chandeliers. Look out for mining tools and machinery, which tell their own tales of the mines, and walk along the maze of underground corridors to see an impressive salt lake in one of the chambers. Return back to ground level after your tour, and relax on the journey back to Kraków. Your tour then ends with a drop-off back at your hotel.
