An easy walk in the most beautiful valley surrounded by a gorgeous nature, the history of the paper production in Amalfi and a great lunch in one of the best farm of the coast.
We walk into one of the most amazing valley following the Canneto river. The scenery is amazing, we are in a chesnut forest and the clear water of the river jumps on the rocks creating lots of waterfalls and pools.
This is the place where in the 13th century local people started to produce paper using cloths, a technique learned from the arabs. Along the way we find the ruins of the old and abandoned paper mills, it's a unique example of industrial archeology in the south of Italy.
The deepest spot in the valley is a Natural Reserve with the most spectacular waterfalls, a kind of rain forest, unexepted. It's a protected area where the "Woodwardia radicans" grows, a pre-historic fern that can be 2 meters long!
The right end of our tour will be a great lunch in a farm settled overlooking the valley.
