Visit to Local Market and Portuguese Cooking Experience

After meeting with the guide, an introduction to the traditional market will be made. While the original building of Mercado do Bolhão is undergoing refurbishment, the visit will be made to the temporary market a few meters away. Time to enjoy the typical atmosphere of the market, and to buy some ingredients for making the meal.

We will take a short drive (about 15 minutes) to our home where we will go in a 100% local environment to learn the secrets of Portuguese cuisine.

Time to learn how to make the dishes described in our activity, where you can actively participate, or simply enjoy the moment, food and company.

After the experience is finished, participants will be taken to the point where the tour started or somewhere close to their choice.

Through this experience you can visit a traditional market of the city of Porto, to be part of the local environment, exploring and buying small products to make the meal. You will have an introduction to the customs and traditions of the locals, through a local. Cátia, the guide, working on tourism since 2013, and as a guide of food and wine since 2016, will in a relaxed and casual way, emerge the group in our day to day so that they can feel among friends.

After visiting the Market, time to go to our space located centrally in Rua de Mouzinho da Silveira, to prepare a typical Portuguese meal, where the Cod can not be missed. Participation in the clothing is optional, however it is encouraged.

Just as the Portuguese love it, after the meal is ready, it's time to sit down and enjoy the food, local wine and most importantly, the company.
