INGREDIENTS

Meatloaf

1 ½ lb Ground Beef (80/20)

1 8 oz can Tomato Sauce

1 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs

6 Cloves Garlic

3 tbsp Mustard

3 tbsp Brown Sugar

3 tbsp White Vinegar

1 Egg

1 cup Water

2 tbsp Ketchup

Salt

Black Pepper

Scalloped Potatoes

6 medium Idaho Potatoes

1 cup Butter (2 sticks)

1 White Onion

6 Cloves Garlic

½ cup Flour

4 cups Milk

2 tbsp Mustard

¼ tsp Cayenne Pepper

4 cups Cheddar Cheese (shredded)

KITCHEN TOOLS

3 Mixing bowls, 3 qt casserole dish, casserole dish, cutting board, skillet, pot, dry and liquid measuring cups

PREP BEFORE CLASS

Measure out your ingredients

Mince Garlic

Boil pot of salted water for blanching of potatoes

Peel and slice potatoes into 1/8” slices (mandolin)

Your host, Brien O'Brien in 2017 auditioned for MasterChef and was ultimately named the "14th Best Home Cook in America" by the Chef Judges Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi, and Aaron Sanchez. From there he decided he wanted to become "classically French trained" in the field of Culinary Arts so he spent a year studying at the renowned Culinary Institute of America in California's Napa Valley. There he learned the classic French culinary fundamentals as well safety standards for the industry.
