You will be picked up at the Visitor center next to the Peja Patriarch, by our experienced guide. After a ten minutes drive you will enter the Rugova Gorge and reach the destination. After a short brief about equipment you will start the walk first crossing a hanging bridge, then going through a system of caves and approaching the vertical path.
Your guide will be sometimes in front of the group and sometimes in the end in order to provide all the advice of crossing the vertical climb that offers the best view of the Rugova Gorge. The vertical walk will offer one place in the middle where you can stop and enjoy the view before you start the second part of the Ferrata. After you reach the top of the trail you can use the already installed table and chairs for a small pick nick that you can bring with you. Approximately one hour walk you will continue in a nice hiking trail that provides views to the gorge and the city.
Via Ferrata Ari is the most advanced adventure product in Peja and Kosovo. The 100 meters of vertical climb, professional equipment, trained guide, and advanced construction supported by Italian professionals who have worked in Dolomites, make this trip safe and one of the most memorable in Rugova mountains and in Kosovo. The whole climbing and hiking takes two to three hours depending from the group and offers spectacular view over the city of Peja and the Rugova Gorge. No climbing experience needed, you will be climbing stairs. The trail takes you through ancient caves, fortified there to block the city for invaders, which now serve also for wildlife sheltering.
