The “Vespa” in original Italian language means wasp and is associated with an interesting circumstance. It has been told, when spotting the first prototype of the scooter and hearing the sound made from its engine, Cavalier Enrico Piaggio, noted that "it looks like a wasp".
Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck – in the early 1950’s – toured across the city of Rome on a scooter in the Hollywood movie: A Roman Holiday, it marked the Vespa as an unforgettable icon.
You will explore around St. Peter's Square, admire the spectacular Castel Sant'Angelo, have a panoramic view of the eternal city at one of the hills in Rome called Janiculum. Enjoy the atmosphere of Trastevere neighborhood. Drive through Circus Maxiumus and the most famous Colosseum. Have a gelato at the Spanish Steps or while making a wish at Trevi Fountain.
