Highlights

Welcome to an outdoor adventure in the heart of Mexico. After pick-up we will head North with a quick lunch stop in Santa Rosa, here you will have a chance to try a local specialty, an exotic beef broth soup of Oaxaca, and of course our authentic Mexican tacos! Then we head to the beautiful mountains of TUTUTEPEC to learn about the history of the Mixtec and Mexican civilization by exploring the murals that are scattered at the municipality building. After viewing the Mixtec Calendar, we will enter the YUKUTZA museum where we will learn the various ways of life of the ancient Mixtec civilization. The museum displays include: crafts, artifacts, and sculptures found in the surrounding areas of town. We will head to the town’s main church, which is over 400 years old, to learn about the culture and important celebrations of the area. On our way back, we will make a quick stop at ROCA BLANCA beach to enjoy a delicious coco frio and take a refreshing dip in the pristine waters before returning to Puerto Escondido.
