The Nepal journey into the” Old Tibet” Mt. Manaslu is the 8th highest mountain in the world standing between Everest in the east and the Annapurna ranges in the west. It has fertile valleys where the true Tibetans are living hundreds of years ago influencing the areas with vast Tibetan culture. The people honor the Dalai Lama. They speak their own language, worship in the traditional ways, live and farm as they have for centuries. The journey starts impressive and later turns to exhilarating as you follow along the pure and adventurous trails along the waterfalls, Mani walls, ancient temples and monasteries. At the end, cross Larkya La pass (5,135 m) for a 360° view of the Himalayas with view of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Annapurna I (10th highest mountain in the world) along with the Tibetan Plateau. The 17 days trek to Manaslu will shower you with myriad of cultures, and different foods to try, as well as wonderful hospitality to cherish.

  • Temperatures are warm and pleasant in the city and cold in the mountains.

  • You can get Nepal’s Visa on arrival in airport or other entry point of Nepal.

  • Get Travel insurance and make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months

Before you go

  • Bring warm clothes that can be layered and sunglasses to adjust as temperatures vary.

  • Trekking boots are always a good idea as they provide good ankle support.

  • Always have a lightweight poncho or raincoat in case of rain.

  • Take plenty of batteries. Recharging is not available at every tea house.
