Browse the stores and shopping centres where otaku fans gather and buy everything from comics to electronics, like the popular Nakano Broadway shopping centre and the huge electric stores in Akihabara.

Get to know your Local Host, who will give you a unique local perspective into this culture; whether you’re a newbie or you already love anime and want to discover the best spots in the city for all things otaku, your Local Host will create a personalised experience based around what you’d most like to explore.

Otaku (also known as “geek culture”) is a phrase used to describe an avid fan of anime, manga and cosplay - gaming, electronics, animation characters, you name it. But in Japan, otaku is celebrated and enjoyed across all age groups! Your host will show you neighborhoods like Akihabara, the mothership of anime culture and many other spots that’ll have your inner geek doing somersaults of joy!

Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.
