Crossing two provinces, our Chengdu – Guiyang trip offers riders an up close and personal look at the diverse rural life, history and cultures of both Sichuan and Guizhou. First taking you deep into the heart of rural Sichuan, we will slowly wind our way towards the most important Baijiu producing regions of China, found in southern Sichuan and northern Guizhou. Forming part of the ‘golden triangle’, Sichuan boasts some of the oldest fermentation pits in China and Guizhou holds China’s premium and most popular brand – Maotai. We will be able to get an intimate look at this facet of Chinese history, as well as witnessing some examples of how these pivotal moments continue to influence modern China to date. Visiting several ancient towns on the way and ancient Buddhist sites, with stark changes in culture and language, this trip is all about diversity and allows you to experience a more honest look at rural Chinese life and history.
