Come and discover the amazing underwater world and - with a bit of luck -  the bottlenose dolphins at the famous Mnemba Atoll in the Indian Ocean. We offer half-day snorkelling trips with 2 sessions of snorkelling (45 minutes each) and a break on the boat with fresh fruit and local snacks as well as drinking water. A normal morning with us looks as follows: Meet at our diving centre. If not yet done, paperwork and payment as well as equipment fitting would have to be done before boat departure. 1st session: Diving or snorkelling for 45 minutes. break on the boat: Drinking water, snacks of local food and a seasonal platter of fruit are served. 2nd session: Diving or snorkelling for 45 minutes. Our boats return to the dive centres early afternoon. The price includes equipment rental (mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit) and a snorkel guide.  We have flotation devices on our boats but for safety and comfort reasons we don't take non-swimmers on our trips. The minimum age for children is 10 years. Minors have to be accompanied by a parent during the whole trip duration (in-water and on the boat).

Why take this tour?

Snorkelling with One Ocean gives you the chance to see another part of Zanzibar, off the beaten trail from the normal tourist route: because of the tide we usually go one way by boat and way by bus, for about 30 minutes on an unpaved road through the traditional Muyuni village. Meeting time is in the morning (between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.) and we are back after 5-6 hours (between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.), depending on the tide. We have traditional dhows on which you can cruise gently along the coast of Zanzibar as well as a wooden speed boat that will get you to Mnemba in (almost) a heartbeat.

We are the only the dive operator in Zanzibar to have a dive centre in Stone Town on the west coast where we dive the reefs in front of Stone Town and we can do wreck dives and night dives. One Ocean is in-house with the full dive operation and boat launching site at Bluebay Beach Resort in Kiwengwa and Matemwe Beach Village in Matemwe. Inside Ocean Paradise Resort we have a booking office and pool facility! Kiwengwa and Matemwe are located on the north-east coast of Zanzibar close to Mnemba Atoll, with the best diving and snorkelling spot in Zanzibar! Dive packages can be shared among our different locations to give more variety to our divers. We have very high safety and environmental standards.
