Small-Group Aurora Hunt Northern Lights Tour from Tromso

Begin your tour in central Tromso, setting off into the outlying fells by air-conditioned vehicle. Your tour may take you across the border into Finland if conditions require, so passports are required.

On route, your guide uses local knowledge to select a good viewing point. Having chosen it, they'll set up camp and light a bonfire, so you can watch for the lights in the warmth and comfort. 

Enjoy a homemade soup and scan the skies. You may need to wait for a brief sighting; or you may be lucky enough to witness an extended display. As you watch, hear background on this natural wonder from your guide.

If you want to take photos, get advice from your guide on capturing the best shots. You’ll also receive souvenir photos after your tour to take home with you.

The Northern Lights are notoriously hard to predict, even in Tromso. So it makes sense to increase your chances of a sighting by joining a guided excursion, especially if you’re only in Tromso briefly. Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. Make sure you wear a warm base layer, winter clothes including warm shoes, a hat, mittens, a scarf and woolen socks.
A small amount of walking is involved, you must be able to walk 200m
Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities, there will be a gas station stop during the drive, however the camp itself is in the wild Arctic nature where the only toilet possibilities are in the forest (there are no pre-built facilities).
Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if less than 2 passengers per tour. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund
