This tour is a convenient combination of round-trip airport transfers (first from Balice Airport to your hotel in Krakow and then from your hotel in Krakow to Balice Airport on your departure day) as well as a half-day trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former Nazi concentration camp.
With this tour you relax about your transfer to the city as a driver will take you from the airport and drive you safely to your hotel.
During your stay in Krakow, you will then join a half-day morning trip to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum which is on the UNESCO Heritage List and a place of great importance in remembering the victims of WWII.
On the drive to the museum (approximately an hour) you will watch a documentary film about the history of the camps. Then on a tour of the museum and camp you will learn about the tragic history of this place and you will be able to visit the largest of the German concentration camps where many lives was lost. In the Museum you can see many artifacts on display from the camps, such as the personal possessions of the prisoners.
The museum is dedicated to researching the Holocaust and to the memory of the individuals who were killed there.
On your departure from Krakow, you will be picked up from your hotel in Krakow for a comfortable transfer back to Balice Airport.
