The tour begins with a Krakow hotel pickup. Then travel to Oswiecim, Poland, located about 31 miles (50 km) west. Watch a documentary film about the former Nazi concentration camp during the drive from Krakow to Oswiecim and learn about the tragedies of World War II and the lives lost at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
See the two main camps, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, then visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, dedicated to the memory of those people who died in both camps during World War II. See many of the artifacts on display, including the personal possessions of the prisoners who were brought there.
After a return trip to Krakow, spend the evening at Klezmerhojs, a Jewish cafe located in Kazimierz, a historical district of Kraków Old Town. Dine on traditional Jewish food and listen to a concert featuring original Klezmer music.
