Our tour starts at Piazza Cavalieri di Malta- Square of Knights of Malta
a charming square designed by Piranesi in the 18th century.
We will see a door famous for the view trough a keyhole which reveals the
St. Peter's dome in an unusual prospective. To do this we have to spy through the keyhole...
Than we are heading for the famous Mouth of Truth - according to a legend,
if you put your right hand in the carved mouth and you're a liar the mouth woll bite off your hand. It's at your risk!!!!
The Turtle fountain - fontana delle Tartarughe an other marvel
built in only one night - a local legend has it....
Than we will visit The Galleria Spada-an optical illusion of space,
a colonaded corridor of 8,82 meteres in length seems to measure about 35 meteres.
The fifth and last wonder brings us to the Chapel Avila in Trastevere- a charming
and lovely district with lot of restaurants - although it has been called one of the "most complex and unique Roman monument " it's hardly mantioned in the city guides. The painter Antonio Gherardi created a wonder of concave and convex shapes with a dome which looks like an eye pending in the void supported by a group of angels.
