Your private guide meets you at 8am at your hotel and takes you by private car or van to the Summer Palace, which is located on the outskirts of Beijing. Upon arrival at the palace, explore the large site and its elegant pavilions, bridges, and temples. Take in highlights such as the Long Corridor, Seventeen Arches Bridge, Qingyan Stone Boat, Kunming Lake, and Longevity Hill. Stop for lunch, then head to Jiuhua Hot Spring Resort in the Changping district, which is also known as Xiaotangshan (Little Soup Mountain). Have three hours to bathe in the public pools of the hot springs. The waters for the hot spring come from deep underground at a temperature of about 104°F (40°C), and are believed to be therapeutic. After a relaxing afternoon, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel in downtown Beijing. Note: Avoid the crowds by visiting during the week instead of the weekend.
