The sunset adventure begins with a self-drive safari as we guide and instruct participants over hand-held radios and spot indigenous wildlife, including gazelle, oryx, monitor lizards and countless birds, and discover fox dens and natural phenomena. Adults and kids alike will learn all about the desert, its history and its inhabitants during this informative safari. 15:00 - 16:00: Pick-up from the hotel (time will be confirmed directly with participants). For the first time in the 20-year history of the gated 225-square-kilometre Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve (DDCR), visitors can enjoy a self-drive safari in our specially prepared Toyota Hilux Adventure Overlanding vehicles through the unique area under the expert guidance of Sand Sherpa. Upon arrival at Sherpa Camp, participants can explore the sands and enjoy a nature walk around the site. We have fully equipped bathroom facilities on-site and offer snacks and refreshments along the way.
