Travelers are picked up from their hotels by our experienced driver. They will follow the N1 freeway past residential areas and some of Cape Town's expensive suburbs.
After the small industrial area of Kraaifontein they drive through the wine regions of Paarl on the left and Stelenbosch on the right. Look out for The Paarl Rock on the left - one of the 2 biggest single rock outcrops in the world. In this wine region there is amazing landscape with lots of vineyards all the way to Du Touitskloof Mountains.
There is of course the Paarl town which is one of the most historic and one of the oldest in South Africa. This is home to many Afrikaans community and travelers can also see The Afrikaans Lunguage Monument from freeway.
On the right there are wineries on the Stellenbosch side. As they approach the Hugenout tunnel there is a range of dramatic mountains called the Du Toitskloof range. Through the 4 km tunnel travelers are welcomed by a rolling valley with jagged edged mountains on both sides.
After this you also are welcomed by a green carpet of vineyards in Worcester. Here the farms are a combination of vineyards and Olives. Past Worcester you get to De Doreens which is also a picturesque valley filled with vineyards. Here you drive past some farming community small villages. You then get to Hex Valley a place known to produce quality grapes for export quality only.
After driving for almost two hours you now get into the Little Karoo with lots of succulent plants. You then get to Aquila Safari as you turn left heading to Ceres. On arrival travelers are given welcome drinks before they are ushered in the kitchen for a hearty buffet breakfast.
They go on the almost 3 hour game drive and return for a delicious buffet lunch at the big kitchen. Travelers can take a dip in the Olympic size swimming pool during summer season. They then head back to Cape Town along the same route. They can also take a detour for wine tasting on their way back subject to arrangement with the driver/guide.
Travelers are then dropped back in Cape Town after a fun filled and adventurous day.
