Travelers are picked up from their respective hotels in Cape Town and drive via the N1 freeway heading north. After driving through the residential arear you get to the wine lands Stellenbosch on the right and Paarl on the left. You then drive past Franschoek on the left before you get to the Huguenot tunnel.
Past the tunnel you are welcomed by a beautiful valley surrounded by dramatic mountains on both sides of the road. You then get to Worcester one of the beautiful wine areas not far from Cape Town. After Worcester you drive to De Doorns just before you get to Hex Valley. All theses wine areas are a marvel to watch as you drive by. In Hex valley it is known to produce export quality grapes only.
You then get to the farming communities of Little Karoo with lots of succulent plants. This is a dry area a semi desert natural region of South Africa.Welcome to the Little Karoo - partly defined by its topography, geology and climate and above all its low rainfall and cloudless skies.
You then arrive at Aquila Game Reserve for safari which is a 2 hour scenic drive from Cape Town. You then are ushered in with welcome drinks before you have a buffet breakfast and safari. The safari takes up to 3 hours then you have a buffet lunch before you head back to Cape Town. On the way back time permitting you can also taste wine at one of the popular wineries in Paarl.
