Meet your guide in Florence and head straight to the Central Market to purchase ingredients and sample some local delicacies. After stocking up on fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs, transfer to your cooking class venue, a historic villa set amid the vineyards and olive groves of Tuscany’s Chianti wine region.
On arrival, set to work cooking traditional Tuscan dishes, such as ravioli gnudi with fresh handmade pasta, and pick up plenty of tips from your expert instructor, chef Giovanni. Before you eat, enjoy a fascinating introduction to Chianti wine and discover the winemaking process, the different varietals, and how to match wines with various Tuscan dishes.
Finally, sit down to enjoy a delicious 4-course homemade meal, paired with a selection of three different Chianti wines—typically a Chianti Riserva, a Chianti Classico, and a Tuscan dessert wine—and an indulgent dessert, such as strawberry tiramisu.
After lunch, you are taken back to Florence.
