Prague Castle: Power, Glory & Destruction small group Tour

Summary

Meet your small group and guide at Metro Cafe Malá Strana a little before the time you chose for your tour. You’re sure to learn so much while taking in the historical sites during the next three hours. Stroll the streets, and see ancient buildings that’ll stop you in your tracks with their beautiful architectural styles.  Follow your guide to the top of Hradčany Hill to get to Prague Castle, the official residence of the president of the Czech Republic. Go inside (own expense) to explore the building that dates back to the 9th century. View the Renaissance Building, and see the Ball Game Hall. Admire the lovely Vladislav Hall, which was built to hold indoor jousting tournaments. After your time inside the castle, head over to Hradčany. Pass by Domeček, the former prison where political opponents were imprisoned by the Gestapo, and the Strahov Monastery, where an ancient library is housed.   Your tour ends at a monastic brewery where you can choose to savor rare St. Norbert’s micro-brew (own expense) before going your separate way.
