Port of Spain City Tour
Summary
After pickup from your hotel, set out to discover one of the liveliest cities in Trinidad and Tobago. Start at the Wrightson Road waterfront, then follow your guide to both the new and old Port of Spain. Visit he Red House on Abercromby Street, built in 1906 and also known as the House of Parliament.
Continue to Woodford Square to view its impressive fountains and lush shade trees, then on to the Hall of Justice and Trinity Cathedral, which dates from 1816. Stop at the Queen's Savannah Park, a 230-acre (93 hectare) park that's home to gorgeous old trees and surrounded by gingerbread-style homes. The Stollmeyer Castle, built in 1904, is an excellent example of German Romantic architecture.
Visit the White Hall, the Archbishop Palace, and the Queen's Royal College. Stop by the Emperor Valley Zoo and the Botanical Gardens and learn about the historical and cultural importance of all of these landmarks from your guide. Finish your tour with visits to some local art galleries before being dropped off back at your hotel.
