Pompeii Ruins Skip-the-Line Tour

Pompeii itself was great. Our particular tour guide was not the best. In her defense, it was an extremely hot day and there is a lot of ground to cover in a two hour tour, but she was walking way too fast and leaving half the tour behind. This led to not getting good information on a lot of what we were seeing. She was asked by multiple guests many times to slow down so people could catch up to the group or have a second to take some pics but she really didn't adjust. Again, there so much to see and I'm sure she was trying to cover as much ground as possible in a two hour tour, but we missed a lot of details about what we did see. She did not seem to explain things as well as we heard other guides explaining details. On the rare occasion we paused, we found ourselves listening to other guides. There is no way to cover anywhere close to the whole place in two hours or even four, but if you really want to see and learn about it All, I would recommend booking longer tours or more that one tour. Just make sure you can handle the time. It is a lot of walking on rough terrain.

Cancelled! I had multiple communications the day before confirming the trip and pick up time and venue only for it to be cancelled. The only communication of the cancellation was through message that I had no notification for instead of email. Thankfully a full refund is being processed but be aware that if the minimum number do not book the trip will be cancelled.

You don't want to miss a visit to Pompei! It is amazing. Our guide Luca was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and interesting.

I was picked up from the Cruise Terminal in a van. Then we drove to Pompeii. Here we got a guide: Biago. Super tour leader! Biago knows a lot to tell. He tells not only the real facts, but also funny things in a very playful + interesting way. He does this interactively: He involves the public. Super tourleader, highly recommended!

Easy to find at the port! As soon as we got off the ship our drive guide Lorenzo was there holding a sign with our names. The drive was informative and we were dropped off right at the spot to meet our guide for inside the Pompeii complex. Despite the rain, we had a wonderful tour with Tomas and he made sure we saw as much as we could in our allotted time. A little rushed, so if you are a serious photographer and want lots of pictures, you may want to explore in your own. We moved quickly, but the information was flowing and Interesting! The whole tour stayed right on time and was well worth the price!
