Penjamo River, Hot Springs, and Mud Bath Adventure by Rincon de la Vieja from Tamarindo

This 9-hour hot springs and Penjamo River adventure by Rincon de la Vieja starts with a hotel pickup from Tamarindo a little before 7a.m. Ride in your vehicle over to Blue River Resort and Hot Springs where you’ll enjoy a cocktail upon your arrival. Then hop back in the car for a short drive to a rain forest near the northern side of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.

Go for a hike along forest trails, and make your way to the Penjamo River. Here you can swim under a waterfall and in the mineral pools of the area.

Afterward, head back to the Blue River Resort to break for lunch. The rest of the days activities are in your hands. Pick from a variety of things to do at the resort, including soaking in a natural hot springs or mud bath, walking through a botanical garden, or swimming at a pool with a water slide.

The day ends with a car ride to your Tamarindo hotel around 4p.m.

Visit the only lush rainforest in Guanacaste, with real blue rivers, natural hot springs and views of the smoking volcano crater. Begin with a jungle walk and to discover an amazing blue river and take a dips in Grand Waterfalls.
