Payette River Half-day Rafting and Kayaking Trip

First: Meet at the Beehive bend parking lot. Look for the van that says “Orange Torpedo Trips.” When we meet in the parking lot we will load up in the van and drive 10 minutes up-stream to the launch.

At the launch - Get geared up with the equipment the guide will hand out: Personal floatation device, Helmet and optional cold weather gear if it is needed. After gearing up the group will go through an orientation on how to navigate the river and then we will start our float.

The trips starts with some more minor whitewater before getting into the first class III rapid about a mile into the trip. From here on the group enjoys numerous class II rapids with a few you can even choose to float in your PFD through and calm pools for swimming. Towards the end of the trip are the two largest rapids of the trip making for a great conclusion.

The Payette River, 30 minutes from downtown Boise is the ideal way to escape the summer heat.  Come up and enjoy a couple hours of big waves, great swimming and all-around river fun with your friends and family.  Our half-day trip can have you paddling your own inflatable kayak behind one of our experienced guides or you can join your friends and family to work together in one of our bigger rafts.  Either way you will spend the day relaxing on the river enjoying the activity for which Idaho is known as, "the whitewater state". 

The main Payette is the perfect trip for the first time inflatable kayaker or the family looking for a fun whitewater trip.  With numerous class II and III rapids, the main Payette has enough action to challenge anyone while still being perfect for the six year old in your group.  So don’t miss your chance to come out and experience THE Boise area whitewater trip with your friends and family.
