At your centrally located Tel Aviv hotel, board a climate-controlled coach for the 90-minute trip to Jerusalem. The first stop of the day is the Mount of Olives, with sweeping views across Jerusalem’s Old City and Temple Mount, and you’ll pass the Garden of Gethsemane as you enter the city.
Pause outside Zion Gate, and then continue into the Old City on foot, walking through the Armenian Quarter to the Jewish Quarter and the surviving ruins of the sixth-century Byzantine Cardo. Visit the Western Wall, or Wailing Wall, a sacred pilgrimage sight for people across the globe. Continue into the Christian quarter to walk the Via Dolorosa all the way to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to mark Jesus’ crucifixion site.
The final stop before returning to Tel Aviv is Yad Vashem Holocaust Remembrance Center, where moving displays commemorate lives lost in the Holocaust.
